Mealtime is a very important part of our “ministry of hospitality” at Wallowa Lake Camp. We go the “extra mile” to prepare meals that make our guests very happy. Our kitchen staff are passionate about what they do, knowing that happy tummies make joyful people! We prepare meals with fresh, quality ingredients as one of the ways we share God’s love with our guests.
We believe our guests should start their day with the “best” coffee, tea and hot chocolate in that perfectly selected mug along with a healthy, plentiful breakfast, always including hot dishes such as french toast with homemade berry sauce and applewood thick-cut smoked bacon, or another day it might be David’s world-famous sausage gravy and biscuits, or veggie bake and hash browns with blueberry scones. Each breakfast also includes fresh fruit, hot cereal with toppings, yogurt, cold cereals and juice. So many choices!
Sack lunches can be requested by the group or hot lunches like homemade pizza or chef salad or chili and cornbread….
Dinners are always delicious and include a hot dish, hot vegetable, tasty sides, fresh, crisp tossed salads, rolls, butter and yummy desserts.
Let us pamper you with our sumptuous homemade meals….you will be delighted!
Our experienced staff is trained to make modifications to the camp menu for those who are vegetarian or gluten-free if requested at least two weeks in advance. Our limited kitchen facilities do not allow us the flexibility for individual special diets (celiacs may not be able to tolerate cross contamination inherent in our small kitchen) but we do provide a wide range of food options for persons to choose from. If you have food allergies, please let us know upon your arrival so we can tell you if any dish contains these items. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
