Reflections from Camp & Retreat Ministries

Looking Ahead Toward 2020

By Rev. Todd Bartlett, Executive Director of Camp and Retreat Ministries

Happy New Year!

As we begin 2020 I would like to say thank you for your support of Camp and Retreat Ministries and the impact that it has on the lives of children, youth, adults and families.

As we look ahead to the entire year before us, we in Camp and Retreat Ministries would like share with you a few stories. These stories will convey our experience of God’s call in our lives, the passion that we hold for this ministry, notable features of each of the sites that makes these places special places to encounter God, impact that the site has had on us or someone we know and then to conclude the year we will be sharing some things that we are excited about for 2021!

If you read this on Wednesday 1/8 know that the site directors will be meeting for the next 48 hours. The last 24 hours will overlap with the Board as it gathers to set budget for 2020 and give direction for its work for the next year and beyond. This is a chance to dream what our future will be like and how we can shape that future for those who participate in events at each of our sites and our many ministries.

One thing that I am convinced of as we begin this momentous year, is that the ministry you support remains as important as ever in offering people places where they can commune with God, creation, and with others. We are passionate about our work to create quality environments of Christian hospitality and learning, because we know the difference that it makes in the lives of those who experience this mission.

See you around the campfire soon,
